Cascadia School seeks an Upper Elementary Guide for the 2026-2027 school year. The Upper Elementary Guide will join our Elementary Program, which consists of three Lower Elementary Classrooms, two Upper Elementary Classrooms, and a Middle School. 

Cascadia has been serving children in grades 1 through 8 since 1994. Our school is located in a suburban area of Vancouver, close to the 205 bridge. We sit on 2.0 acres, adjacent to the beautiful Tranquility Green Space. Our students come from local Children’s Houses, private, and public schools.

Our ideal candidate is kind, compassionate, and supportive of the development of 9-12-year-olds and of Montessori’s vision for Cosmic Education. The candidate will join a strong team of educators who are collaborative and supportive, working together to support our students. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, AMI Elementary diploma
  • State teaching license (preferred)
  • Prefer experience as a Lead Guide (or Assistant), either lower or upper elementary
  • Understand a diverse range of learning styles.
  • Collaborate with others
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational skills, 
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.

The salary starts at $65,000 and increases with experience. This is an exempt, full-time, salaried position. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM, with occasional evening and weekend events throughout the school year.
