AMI Elementary Guide (6–12) – Full Time
Countryside Day School | Northbrook, Illinois
Countryside Day School is seeking an AMI-trained Elementary Guide (6–12), or a candidate currently in training, to join our growing community. We are open to hiring immediately, this summer, or by Fall 2026 for the right candidate.
Founded in 1967, Countryside Day School is a non-profit, ISACS-accredited Montessori school serving children from 16 months through 6th grade. Our campus in the northern suburbs of Chicago reflects our commitment to Montessori integrity, continuity, and depth of practice.
Our Elementary program (6–12) emphasizes curiosity, rigor, and real-world connection. Through interdisciplinary studies and experiences such as our week-long farm immersion, children develop independence, collaboration, and ownership of their learning throughout the full three-year cycle.
Through our partnership with Montessori Center of Minnesota, we host AMI 0–3 and 3–6 training on campus each summer, bringing a dynamic culture of observation and professional dialogue that strengthens practice school-wide.
As we grow, we are expanding our Elementary team and seeking a Guide for additional support. This role is an excellent fit for someone in the AMI Elementary training looking for mentorship within a long-standing, experienced, collaborative faculty. Summer employment is required.
What We Offer:
Competitive salary ($65,000–$75,000) - dependent on experience. Benefits package. Paid time off. Strong professional culture and long-term growth potential.
