Toddler (0-3) and Elementary (6-12) Teachers for 2026-27
Mountain Laurel Montessori School seeking a certified Toddler (0-3) and an Elementary (6-12) teacher for the upcoming school year. Our 12-acre, wooded campus was established in 1989 and serves children ages 18 months through 8th grade. We have two Toddler classrooms, two Primary classrooms, two Elementary classrooms, and a Middle School program.
About the Role:
You will guide children in a thoughtfully prepared Montessori classroom, fostering independence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. This role requires a deep respect for each child’s unique development and a commitment to authentic Montessori principles.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain an engaging Montessori classroom environment
- Deliver individualized and small-group lessons aligned with Montessori philosophy
- Observe, assess, and support each child’s developmental progress
- Foster a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Collaborate with colleagues to support a cohesive school community
Qualifications:
- AMI Montessori certification
- Experience working with children in a Montessori setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for development of the whole child
