The Montessori Schools, located in Manhattan’s Flatiron District and SoHo, offer a classical Montessori education within thoughtfully designed campuses. 

We are seeking a Director of Admissions & Enrollment to lead and manage the school’s admissions, enrollment and reenrollment process. The Director of Admissions & Enrollment reports to the Head of School.

Key Responsibilities

·     Oversee the full admissions lifecycle, including inquiries, tours, interviews, admissions decisions, and enrollment management

·     Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective families, guiding them through the admissions process with professionalism and care

·     Plan and coordinate admissions events including Open Houses, campus tours, and applicant visits

·     Manage the school’s admissions and enrollment databases and tuition management systems

·     Track and analyze admissions and enrollment data to support strategic planning and reporting

·     Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a welcoming and seamless onboarding experience for new families

·     Support school community initiatives, including Parents Association events and school-wide programs

·     Manage marketing and communications efforts related to admissions and enrollment

Qualifications

·     Bachelor’s degree required

·     Minimum of two years of experience in school administration or admissions

·     Experience in independent school admissions, preferably within New York City

·     Experience working with children ages 18 months to five years preferred

·     Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and writing skills

·     Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

·     Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced school environment

·     A warm, engaging presence and the ability to represent the school with professionalism and authenticity

·     Interest in and willingness to learn the Montessori philosophy, school culture, and operational procedures

Compensation

Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
