Montessori Community School is excited to announce the opening of a second site in Monterey, California, tentatively scheduled for September 2026. Our original school in Scotts Valley has been family-owned and operated since 2003, and we remain deeply committed to the traditional AMI Montessori philosophy.
Our new Monterey location will feature two Nido, three Toddler, and two Primary classrooms. The facility is designed with child-centered environments in mind, featuring low windows, tall open-beamed ceilings, heated floors, private kitchens and bathrooms in each classroom, and dedicated outdoor space.
We are currently seeking AMI-trained Lead Teachers for all levels who are passionate about building nurturing environments focused on children and community.
Minimum Requirements:
- AMI Montessori training
- Minimum of 3 years of experience for Primary leads
- A calm, nurturing presence
- A deep understanding of and love for the Montessori philosophy
- A community-oriented mindset
